Paralives delayed into 2026 as designer explains that life sims are “really 3 games in one”

Paralives Developers Delay Release to Polish Game

The developers of Paralives, a homey life simulation game, have announced a delay in the release date to address bugs and add more activities to the game’s town. Originally scheduled for early access in December, Paralives will now launch on May 25th, 2026.

Primary developer Alex Massé shared on Patreon the challenges of creating a life simulation game. He mentioned that the project aims to offer a unique take on the genre by focusing on build mode, character customization, and life simulation. Despite the six years of development with a small team, they need more time to polish the simulation aspect of the game for a great player experience.

The updated roadmap includes planned improvements leading up to the May launch. Additionally, a livestream on November 25th will showcase the current version and discuss areas for improvement. While The Sims series dominates the life sim genre, Paralives aims to offer a refreshing alternative.

Despite the delays, there is optimism surrounding Paralives. The game’s tranquil vibe and potential for future updates have garnered positive feedback. Fans are eagerly awaiting the launch to experience the unique gameplay.
