After its successful early access release on PC and Xbox, Maximum Entertainment has officially announced that the city builder game with superpowers, Overthrown, will be launching on October 16th for PS5. Additionally, the game will be exiting early access on PC and Xbox Series X|S on the same day. In Overthrown, up to six players can collaborate to construct a world where the player who wears the crown gains super strength and super speed to gather resources and construct buildings.
At the start of Overthrown, players find themselves in a world devoid of civilization, with only wildlife and bandits roaming the wilderness. With the power of the crown, players must establish a town and attract inhabitants to transform it from a small village into a thriving city. However, this growth also invites danger and potential attacks from the wild. Interested players can add Overthrown to their wishlist on the PS Store or purchase it for £20.99 on Steam and Xbox Series X|S.
In our review of Overthrown during its Early Access phase, we noted, “Overthrown shows promise, but after a few hours of gameplay, it felt like we had experienced everything the Early Access version had to offer. More content is expected to be added in January to keep players engaged and interested in their evolving worlds.”
