As we approach the official release of OnePlus’ latest flagship phone, I’ve had the opportunity to test the device for a few weeks.
While I can’t share my full thoughts on the OnePlus 15 just yet due to embargoes, I can highlight some of the key features.
The OnePlus 13 was well-received last year, offering great value for an Android flagship. The OnePlus 15 is highly anticipated, with the company teasing exciting features that could make it one of the top phones on the market.
Big design changes
The OnePlus 15 introduces a fresh design compared to its predecessor. The new aesthetic is reminiscent of the compact OnePlus 13s, featuring straight sides, a flat front and back, rounded corners, and a square camera deco.
The phone’s color options are impressive, with standout finishes like Ultra Violet, Infinite Black, and Sand Storm.
Plus Key, Plus Mind & Google
The OnePlus 15 replaces the alert slider with the Plus Key, offering access to Plus Mind, a digital assistant. The phone also integrates Google’s Gemini for a more personalized experience.
OxygenOS 16
OxygenOS 16 on the OnePlus 15 brings several quality-of-life upgrades, including new animations, improved settings, and a dedicated AI section.
A new gaming experience
The OnePlus 15 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, providing exceptional performance. The phone’s display features a refresh rate of 165Hz for a smooth gaming experience.
The DetailMax camera system makes its debut
The OnePlus 15 introduces its own DetailMax Engine for enhanced camera performance. Initial comparisons show improvements in color, contrast, and noise suppression compared to the OnePlus 13.
The OnePlus 15 is set to launch globally on 13 November, offering a lot to look forward to. Stay tuned for my full review!
