Nvidia Not Including Chinese Market in Revenue Forecast
Nvidia has stated that it does not believe the U.S. will lift its chip export restrictions to China in the near future.
CEO Jensen Huang told CNN that the company is so confident in this belief that it has decided not to include the Chinese market in its revenue and profit forecasts.
Huang mentioned that he is not banking on the Trump administration reversing its chip export controls and that any change in policy would be a welcome “bonus.”
The Trump administration implemented licensing requirements for Nvidia’s H20 chips, the most advanced AI chip it could sell to China, back in April. Nvidia anticipates an $8 billion revenue impact in the second quarter due to these restrictions, as stated in its first-quarter results.
Nvidia has not responded to requests for comment at this time.
