Indie XR Studio Yumebau Releases BuildPort Xumia on Quest in Early Access
Indie XR studio Yumebau today launched BuildPort Xumia in early access on Quest, offering fast-paced, physics-driven space combat and the ability to construct your own spaceships from scratch.
Now available on Quest 3 and 3S, BuildPort Xumia combines elements of a streamlined Kerbal Space Program and an arena multiplayer shooter, allowing players to engage in battles with custom-built spacecraft filled with various components.
In BuildPort Xumia, players have the freedom to design anything they can envision, from drones and mechs to their own Star Wars-inspired X-Wing. Managing energy requirements is crucial to keep the ship operational in both virtual and mixed reality environments.
The game utilizes modular blocks and a range of pieces such as weapons, thrusters, and sensors to create unique ships. Connecting sensors and components enables players to give their creations autonomous behaviors, although piloting the ship in first person is where the real excitement lies.
At the early access launch, players can enjoy a 1v1 duel arena for head-to-head battles or solo practice against AI. Additionally, friends can join the game to collaboratively build ships in real-time.
‘Xumi Trials’ feature allows players to test their designs in skill-based solo challenges. The studio plans to introduce new game modes, avatars, ship parts, and other enhancements in future updates.
BuildPort Xumia is currently available on the Horizon Store for Quest 3 and Quest 3S at a discounted price of $6, down from its regular $10.
