This week, tech enthusiasts are buzzing about the launch of the Nothing Phone (3), the latest flagship phone from the challenger brand. However, there’s a catch – customers in different markets will receive different specifications.
While variations in specs based on region are not uncommon, the differences in the Nothing Phone (3) are quite surprising. Customers in the UK and US will receive a 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery, an upgrade from the 4700mAh battery in the Phone (2). On the other hand, buyers in India will enjoy a superior 5500mAh battery.
Despite the 7% increase in battery capacity for the Indian version, charging capabilities remain the same at 65W wired and 15W wireless. This disparity in battery size has left some customers feeling shortchanged, as who wouldn’t want longer battery life?
The reason behind this discrepancy is unclear. In India, the Phone (3) is priced at ₹79,999, which roughly translates to £690 or $935, with pre-orders starting on 4 July. Meanwhile, customers in the UK and US will have to shell out £799/$799 for the device. For more details on the Nothing Phone (3) release date, pricing, and specifications, read on.
