No Rest for the Wicked co-op update comes in January with persistent realms, but you can play the beta now

Moon Studios Unveils Co-op Multiplayer Update for No Rest for the Wicked

Moon Studios has recently announced exciting new updates for their action RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, including the highly anticipated addition of co-op multiplayer. Setting itself apart from traditional top-down action RPGs and Soulslikes, the game features persistent realms that players can share with others.

The co-op update for No Rest for the Wicked is set to launch on January 22nd, with an open beta currently available on Steam. Due to popular demand, the beta has been extended until January 5th, allowing players to enjoy the game throughout the holiday season.

In a recent developer diary, Moon Studios explained their unique approach to multiplayer gaming. Unlike other games where multiplayer sessions lack permanence, No Rest for the Wicked offers a fully online and persistent game world. Players can convert any single-player realm into a multiplayer one, accommodating up to four players who can engage in various activities together.

One of the key aspects of the multiplayer experience is the ability to collaborate with other players in real-time gameplay. From strategizing different character builds to taking on challenging boss battles, teamwork is essential in No Rest for the Wicked.

In addition to the multiplayer features, the game has undergone various improvements and updates. Vendors now offer a rotating selection of gear, enchantments have been revamped, and weapons now have the ability to deal critical damage. Players can also expect new enemy AI behaviors, enhanced combat mechanics, and a range of new gameplay elements to explore.

Despite facing challenges throughout its development, including a split from its publisher and navigating the complexities of multiplayer integration, No Rest for the Wicked continues to make progress. The game is currently available on Steam Early Access, with plans for future releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
