Hello Games has recently announced and released a new update for their popular game No Man’s Sky, named Relics. In this update, players can now explore the worlds of the No Man’s Sky universe to discover the remains of ancient creatures, turning them into valuable relics. Whether you want to display these bones or sell them for profit, the choice is yours. However, be cautious as some of these remains are guarded and not easy to obtain. Below are the full details of the patch notes:
COLLECT AND DISPLAY SKELETONS
- Planetary fossil beds now offer a variety of bone formations to uncover.
- Players can place these bones as decorative base parts individually or mount them on display plinths.
- Larger display plinths allow for the assembly of complete skeletons, showcasing ancient beings.
- Completed displays can be packaged for easy transport, trading with other players, or selling on the galactic market.
- A new planetary dig-site building has been introduced for avid fossil collectors.
- Improved icon for planetary fossils.
- A tutorial mission has been added to guide new palaeontologists.
- A new palaeontology section has been included in the guide.
FOSSIL EXCHANGE
- A fossil collector is now available at the Space Station.
- Players can exchange surplus fossils with the collector to target specific skeleton components.
- The collector will barter for items in their collection, allowing for item swaps.
RELICS EXPEDITION
- Expedition Eighteen, Relics, will kick off soon and run for approximately six weeks.
- Rewards include new posters, decals, titles, a living stone suit customisation set, the unique Basilisk Crown staff, a mysterious skeletal companion, and the exclusive Living Stone jetpack.
As part of the Relics update, Hello Games has initiated a community challenge where players compete to find the rarest skeletons, exploring dangerous locations in the universe. It’s an exciting time for space paleontologists in the No Man’s Sky universe!
