Nightdive re-announce SiN Reloaded with the promise that it’s coming out this year

SiN Reloaded: The Resurrection of a Classic Boomer Shooter

Video games are strange entities. Unlike films that rarely get scrapped mid-production, games often face the possibility of being canned, only to resurface after years of silence. Such is the case with SiN Reloaded, the Nightdive-made remaster of the classic boomer shooter, which has now come back to life!

Initially put on hold in 2023 due to Nightdive’s focus on other projects, SiN Reloaded was promised to be not dead, but simply undergoing changes. Now, after a period of hibernation, the game has been announced once again, with a release year set for 2026.

The remaster is looking impressive, staying true to the spirit of the original SiN game. Players can even choose to experience the game in its original graphics with the SiN Gold version. It seems like Nightdive is handling the remaster with care, avoiding any major alterations to the beloved classic.

For those unfamiliar with SiN, it’s set in a near-future dystopia where players take on the role of Blade, a tough and heroic character on a mission to stop the evil Dr. Elexis Sinclaire and her DNA-altering drug. The game’s Steam page describes it as a battle against an army of genetically-engineered mutants to make Elexis pay for her sins.

While an exact release date for SiN Reloaded is still pending, interested players can wishlist the game on Steam in anticipation of its arrival in 2026.
