Google is enhancing Magic Cue on the Pixel 10 series, making it even more useful. Magic Cue acts as a background assistant, pulling relevant information from apps you use and presenting it at the right moment. It is considered one of the best AI features on Pixel 10.
Until now, Magic Cue has relied on apps like Gmail, Messages, Calendar, Contacts, Keep, and Pixel Screenshots. However, Google is now experimenting with integrating Google Wallet and Google Tasks into Magic Cue. These new options were found as inactive toggles in Magic Cue’s settings on a Pixel 10 device. Enabling Wallet integration could allow Magic Cue to show boarding passes, event tickets, transit cards, or payment cards when needed.
Magic Cue integrations with Wallet and Tasks
One exciting potential upgrade is real-time travel updates. While Magic Cue can retrieve travel details from Gmail, it currently does not support live status changes. By integrating Google Wallet, which already provides live updates for certain tickets, Magic Cue could offer real-time travel information.
Google Tasks integration could also improve the visibility of reminders by allowing Magic Cue to display to-do lists and deadlines directly, rather than relying solely on Calendar entries. This could make Magic Cue feel more proactive, especially for heavy Google Tasks users.
These features are still in development and not yet live. If Google implements them, Magic Cue could transform the Pixel 10 into a more intuitive device, offering timely assistance without constant interruptions.
Google has recently upgraded Magic Cue on the Pixel 10 with more advanced Gemini-powered models while maintaining user privacy. There are reports suggesting that Magic Cue’s enhanced assistance could eventually expand to other Android devices as well.
