Netflix Introduces Season Download Feature for iOS Users
Great news for Apple device owners! Netflix has finally rolled out a new feature that allows iOS users to download an entire season of their favorite show with just one tap. Previously, Android users had this option, while iOS users had to download episodes one by one. However, on January 30, 2025, Netflix announced the availability of the Season Download feature on iPhone and iPad apps.
According to a Netflix representative speaking to Variety, “We’ve heard that downloading episodes one-by-one has been a pain point for iOS members — something we’re now addressing with this rollout.”
This new feature will make offline viewing much more convenient for iPhone owners. With a single tap, users can download entire seasons and watch them on the go, whether it’s during a trip, a flight, or even during power outages.
iOS users can now download all Netflix original productions and most licensed series. Those on the Standard with Ads plan can save up to 15 series per month, while users on ad-free subscription tiers (Standard or Premium) can download up to 100 series on their device.
The Season Download button can be found next to the Share option on a show’s display page. Simply select the series you want to watch, locate the button, and tap it to automatically download the entire season to your device.

Netflix also shared the top 5 most downloaded shows by Android users, including Squid Game Season 1, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Squid Game Season 2, One Piece, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
As of the latest data, Netflix boasts over 300 million subscribers worldwide, with nearly 19 million new additions in 2024. Despite the growing user base, Netflix has adjusted its subscription prices in the US. For more information on Netflix subscription costs, check out our detailed analysis.
