Pixelity, an indie studio, has confirmed that their upcoming VR game based on the popular ’90s anime Neon Genesis Evangelion is still in development. They recently unveiled the first teaser image for the game.
Given the recent trend of game cancellations, such as the planned Batman: Arkham Shadow sequel and a rumored Harry Potter VR game, this confirmation is welcome news for fans. Pixelity initially announced the game, titled EVANGELION: Δ CROSS REFLECTIONS, back in February 2025.

The image released by Pixelity hints at a more peaceful recruitment process into Gendo Ikari’s organization, NERV, compared to the intense events in the anime series. The game, Cross Reflections, will encompass the story of all 26 episodes of the original anime and is planned to be released in three parts, with the first installment expected in 2026.
While there is no confirmed release date or list of platforms yet, attendees at Evangelion’s 30th anniversary event in Tokyo will have the opportunity to try out a demo of the game. The event is scheduled to take place from February 21st to 23rd. To learn more about tickets and demo sign-ups, visit the event’s website.
