Narwal adds AI to its vacuum cleaners to monitor pets and find jewelry

Robot Vacuum Maker Narwal Unveils New Smart Vacuum Cleaners at CES

Narwal, a leading robot vacuum maker, recently showcased its latest line of smart vacuum cleaners at the prestigious Consumer Electronics Show (CES). These cutting-edge devices come equipped with AI-powered features such as pet monitoring, object detection, and notification alerts for misplaced items.

The star of the show is Narwal’s flagship model, the Flow 2 robot vacuum. Boasting a sleek rounded design and user-friendly easy-lift tanks, the Flow 2 is optimized for superior cleaning performance. Utilizing two 1080p RGB cameras with a wide 136-degree field of view, this device can accurately map out its surroundings and identify various objects through advanced AI algorithms.

One of the standout features of the Flow 2 is its ability to recognize an extensive range of objects. By leveraging a sophisticated tech stack, the vacuum cleaner can identify objects locally and, if needed, send data to the cloud for further analysis.

The Flow 2 offers three distinct modes: pet care, baby care, and AI floor tag. In pet care mode, users can designate specific zones for pet cleaning and monitoring, with the added feature of two-way audio communication. Baby care mode ensures a quieter operation near cribs and alerts users of any misplaced toys. The AI floor tag mode enables the vacuum to detect valuable items like jewelry, avoid them, and notify the user.

Moreover, Narwal’s latest vacuum cleaner includes four cleaning modes tailored to tackle different types of dirt. Additionally, the device can self-clean its mop by returning to the base station, allowing for a more thorough cleaning process. The Flow 2’s innovative design also enables higher hot water washing temperatures for enhanced cleanliness.
