Microsoft's SwiftKey brings Bing AI smarts to any iPhone or Android app

Microsoft has introduced its latest generative AI integration in SwiftKey keyboard for iOS and Android. The GPT AI technology allows users to seamlessly utilize it across any app on their iPhone or Android smartphones that support a third-party keyboard.

From Bing, Edge, and Skype to Microsoft’s productivity apps and the new Copilot Security tool, the company has been incorporating a customized version of OpenAI’s GPT intelligence.

Microsoft has now unveiled its SwiftKey smart keyboard with integrated Bing AI for iPhone and Android. The company detailed the update in a recent blog post.

“In recent weeks, we’ve added various new ways to access and interact with the new Bing. Today, we are announcing powerful updates to SwiftKey that bring the Bing AI experience one touch away on any iOS or Android mobile experience supporting a third-party keyboard.”

The SwiftKey Bing AI integration, available with version 3.0.1, offers three main features: Chat for detailed queries on the go, Search for quick web searches from the keyboard without switching apps, and Tone for AI-customized text to suit any situation.

SwiftKey Bing AI Availability

Microsoft states that the new SwiftKey capabilities are accessible in all markets where the new Bing is available, allowing anyone to use Search. However, access to the Tone and Chat features requires signing into a Microsoft Account with Bing Preview access. Users can sign up for the Bing Preview on the Bing app or website.

Keep an eye out for the Bing icon on the left side above the SwiftKey keyboard. SwiftKey is available for free download on the App Store and Google Play Store. For more information and use cases, refer to Microsoft’s official announcement.
