Microsoft expands AI features across Intel and AMD-powered Copilot Plus PCs

Exciting news for PC users as Microsoft announces the widespread availability of its AI features on Copilot Plus PCs powered by Intel and AMD chips. One standout feature is Live Captions, which can instantly translate audio into English subtitles from a variety of languages.

Live Captions were initially tested on Intel and AMD devices last year and are now accessible through the latest Windows 11 update. The update also introduces Cocreator, an AI tool in Paint that can generate images based on text descriptions and drawings. Furthermore, Microsoft is expanding the availability of its AI image editor and generator within the Photos app.

Previously exclusive to Copilot Plus PCs with Qualcomm chips, these features are now reaching a wider audience. Recall, an AI feature that allows users to search through screenshots of their activities, was tested on Intel and AMD devices last year, with plans for wider availability in the future.

In addition, Microsoft is enhancing Voice Access, an accessibility feature enabling voice control on Qualcomm-powered Copilot Plus PCs. Users will now have more descriptive and flexible language options, as well as the ability to translate 27 languages into Simplified Chinese. These improvements will also be extended to Intel and AMD devices in the near future.
