Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Controversy Surrounding Character Roll’s Panty Shots
Recent controversy has arisen surrounding the character Roll in the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, with fans noticing the inclusion of panty shots. The game’s original planner, Atsushi Tomita, revealed that these panty shots were allegedly included at the request of Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man.
According to Tomita, Roll was initially designed to be reserved and not show her underwear. However, Inafune’s suggestion led to the character being redesigned to include frequent glimpses of panties in her movements.
Roll, the younger sister of Mega Man, was created by Inafune as his first major project at Capcom. Despite the game’s release over 25 years ago, the inclusion of panty shots for a character depicted as underage has raised concerns among fans of both the fighting game and the Mega Man series.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was recently released for Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, with an Xbox port planned for 2025.
