Fans have been eagerly awaiting this release, as it has been nine years since the first Lumo game hit the market. The original Lumo was a hit on various platforms including PC, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, Switch, and Xbox One. Lumo 2 is set to launch on PC, PS5, and Switch in 2025, although an exact release date has not been confirmed yet.
Building upon the success of its predecessor, Lumo 2 draws inspiration from the classic era of 8-bit games. Players can expect levels that pay homage to the beloved games of that time, with dungeon dimensions shifting and gameplay mechanics evolving as they progress. In a review of the first Lumo game, it was noted that while the puzzles were well-crafted, some gameplay elements held it back from achieving greatness. Despite this, Lumo still manages to capture a nostalgic charm that will appeal to fans of classic titles and puzzle games.
