High-Performance, Power Efficiency and AI Capabilities

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, the most potent chip from Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 2 lineup. Coupled with the Intel Arc Xe2 GPU, the system also boasts an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of delivering up to 48 TOPS (trillions of operations per second). This powerful combination delivers a 3x increase in AI performance compared to the previous generation, transforming the laptop’s ability to handle AI-centric tasks while maintaining superior power efficiency.

Lenovo states that the advanced AI capabilities span both the NPU and GPU, providing users with unprecedented scalability in AI computing for data processing, creative tasks, or gaming.

OLED Display and User-Friendly Design

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition features a 14-inch 2.8k OLED display with Dolby Vision and anti-glare treatment, delivering sharp visuals and vibrant colors. The display also supports a switchable 120Hz refresh rate, catering to both productivity and entertainment requirements.

Enhancing the laptop’s appeal is the premium Haptic TouchPad, incorporating the iconic three-button red TrackPoint. This feature ensures precision and comfort during usage, making it ideal for professionals seeking reliability and ease of navigation.

Lightweight, Sustainable, and Long-lasting

Lenovo has designed the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition with a strong emphasis on sustainability and user convenience. Weighing under 1kg, it stands as the lightest ThinkPad X1 Carbon ever, making it perfect for mobile professionals. The device is constructed from 90% recycled magnesium for the C cover and is packaged in 100% plastic-free materials derived from bamboo and sugarcane.

Sustainability extends to the battery as well, featuring a customer-replaceable unit (CRU) design. The laptop’s 57-watt-hour battery promises over 18 hours of battery life on a single charge, thanks to the power efficiency of the Core Ultra processors. This ensures users can work throughout the day without the need for frequent recharging.

On the connectivity front, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connectors, HDMI 2.1, and an Audio Combo Jack.

The Aura Edition Experience

The Aura Experience, developed in collaboration with Intel, introduces Smart Modes, a suite of AI-driven software features easily accessible via the F8 key on the keyboard. With Smart Modes, previously complex AI features are now directly accessible from a dedicated window on the home screen.

Whether focusing on work with Attention Mode, safeguarding privacy with Shield Mode, or enhancing video calls through Collaboration Mode, Smart Modes adapt the laptop to various scenarios.

Additional features like Smart Share enable seamless AI-powered image sharing between smartphones and the laptop by simply tapping the phone on the laptop’s edge. Smart Share supports both Android and iOS platforms.

Smart Care offers real-time troubleshooting and support from Lenovo technicians, ensuring users receive assistance whenever required.

Smart Modes: Shield, Collaboration, Attention and Wellness

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition is available in Eclipse Black and will be launched starting from November 2024 at a starting price of $1,999.
