During CES 2025, Lenovo unveiled the latest additions to its Legion Pro gaming laptop series, introducing the 10th generation of the Pro 7i 16″, Pro 5i 16″, and Pro 5 16″. The Legion Pro 5i (16″) Gen 10 comes equipped with Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors, while the AMD-based Legion Pro 5 (16″) Gen 10 offers AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processors, providing gamers with powerful options tailored to their preferences. Both models were launched alongside the new Legion Pro 7i 16″ Gen 10.
Legion Pro 5i (16″) Gen 10 – Intel version
Both laptops feature stunning 16-inch WQXGA OLED displays with a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 500 nits of brightness. The displays boast 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, VESA Trueblack 500 certification, Dolby Vision, and NVIDIA G-SYNC support, delivering vibrant visuals and deep contrast for an immersive gaming experience.
The Legion Pro 5i can be configured with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR7, while the AMD variant supports up to RTX 5070 with 8GB GDDR6. Both models offer up to 32GB of DDR5 6400MHz memory and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, ensuring fast load times and seamless multitasking.
Thermal management is handled by the Coldfront Hyper system, which utilizes turbocharged fans and 3D copper heat pipes to keep the components cool and quiet during intense gaming sessions. The Legion Pro 5i 16″ Gen 10 and the Legion Pro 5 16″ Gen 10 support a blistering 200W TDP, ensuring high performance even under demanding workloads.
Both models come with an 80WHr battery, with the Pro 5i featuring a 300W adapter and the AMD version using a 245W adapter. Additional features include a 5MP webcam with E-shutter, up to 2×2 Intel Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and a variety of ports, including HDMI 2.1, multiple USB-A and USB-C ports, and RJ45. The laptops start at under 5.58 lbs and are available in Eclipse Black, combining a sleek design with durability.
