Publisher Indie.io and developer Reverie World Studios has recently launched Knights of the Crusades for PC, now available in early access for Windows PC via Steam. The development team is dedicated to providing weekly updates to enhance the game’s content and systems.

“This is a game meant to evolve with its players, and this roadmap is just the beginning,” stated Konstantine Fomenko, Producer and Design Director at Reverie World Studios in a press release. “We’re adding depth to campaigns, transforming factions with unique mechanics, and collaborating closely with the community to bring this vision to life.”

Knights of the Crusades focuses on the medieval period when Western Europe united under religion to wage war in the Holy Land. Players have the opportunity to build a military order from scratch or lead established factions like the Templar Order or the Emirate of Tripoli. The game offers a blend of real-time tactical combat, grand strategy systems, and open-ended campaign design, providing players with the chance to rewrite history.

Features include expanded narrative campaigns, cultural overhauls for different factions, diplomacy systems, and a full naval combat revamp. Players can also customize their Holy Orders with selectable heraldry, laws, and religious creeds, as well as experience the conflict from the perspective of Muslim rulers in North Africa, the Iberian Peninsula, or the Middle East.
