Amazon Game Studio has made the decision to shut down the servers of the co-op platformer King of Meat, just six months after its release. The game, which launched on October 2nd, will have its servers turned off on April 9th. It has already been taken off the market, so new players won’t have the opportunity to try it out unless they had already purchased it.
Amazon Game Studio released a statement saying, “After the launch of King of Meat, we have been delighted to see the community immerse themselves in this lively and chaotic world.
If you are a current player of King of Meat, please note that purchasing Stamps in the game is no longer possible. There will be no further updates for content or bug fixes. Refunds will be processed directly by the platform providers, and should be completed automatically between February 24th and April 9th. If you do not receive a refund by April 9th, please reach out to customer support for the platform on which you own King of Meat.
