John Wick: Future Uncertain for Keanu Reeves in Franchise
It has been a while since the conclusion of John Wick: Chapter 4, but fans may have to wait even longer for Keanu Reeves to make a full return to the popular franchise.
During a media tour for his new motorcycle documentary series called Visionaries, Keanu Reeves discussed the future of his iconic character, John Wick.
Reeves mentioned a spinoff film titled “Ballerina,” set in the John Wick universe, where he will make a brief appearance as the titular assassin. The movie, starring Ana de Armas, is scheduled for release in June of this year.
Despite teasing a potential return, Reeves humorously declared, “You know, the character’s dead. He died in John Wick: Chapter 4.” However, the actor and the franchise’s creator, Chad Stahelski, have not ruled out the possibility of a fifth film.
Reflecting on the unpredictable nature of Hollywood, Reeves noted, “I know, in Hollywood you can… I know, I know, it’s the Hollywood story. Right now, there isn’t.”
