Itagaki Games Reportedly Shuts Down
Itagaki Games, the game development studio founded by Tomonobu Itagaki, creator of Dead or Alive, has reportedly closed its doors.
The closure of Itagaki Games was announced in the Japanese government online gazette, Kanpou. The official notice stated:
“Public Notice of Dissolution: Itagaki Games has been dissolved. All persons with claims against the company are asked to submit their claims within two months from the day following the publication of this notice. Failure to do so within the specified period will result in disqualification of the liquidation process. October 7, 2025”
Itagaki Games was established in 2021 with plans to develop games for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Despite its promising start, the company did not release any new games during its existence.
