iOS 26 beta 4 changes
iOS 26 beta 4 is now available for iPhones in the developer beta release cycle. Here, we’ll be highlighting all the changes in iOS 26 beta 4 compared to the previous version.
Firstly, there are some design changes coming in macOS Tahoe 26, including a redesigned Music app that now mirrors the look of the Podcasts app. The sidebar now adjusts to the content below it rather than being a separate part of the window.
Notifications on the Mac have also been revamped to align with the new look in iOS 26.
Both of these changes were noticed on Monday when Apple mistakenly released the macOS Tahoe 26 public beta (not yet released) through the wrong beta channel. macOS Tahoe 26 developer beta 4 initially appeared on Apple’s developer portal before becoming available via the OTA update method.
As for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, initial findings indicate that Liquid Glass is back in the toolbars, where it was more frosted in beta 3.

The Camera app now features an informational splash screen regarding the redesign.

The Phone app now includes updated settings for silencing unknown callers and managing the new call screening feature.

Apple has introduced a Dynamic color option for the iOS 26/iPadOS 26 wallpaper in beta 4, following the introduction of new color options in the previous beta.
After temporarily halting News & Entertainment notification summaries, Apple is now re-enabling the feature in iOS 26 with beta 4.
The Camera app icon now features less of the inset black bezel and more of the camera sensor, resembling the ultra-wide camera sensor rather than the wide or telephoto lens.
CarPlay now offers color options for the new iOS 26 wallpaper design, with several existing options being removed.
On the Mac, there is now an option to shuffle your provided photos for wallpapers.
iOS 26 beta 4 darkens your Lock Screen wallpaper when notifications are present to enhance legibility and increase contrast.
