An online thread reveals complaints from iPhone users affected by this bug, with Apple discreetly introducing the keyboard change in an earlier iOS 26.4 beta. Users have already noticed enhancements, and the update is expected to reach all users later this month.

It’s important to note that the iOS 26.4 keyboard update is unrelated to a viral video from the previous year that showcased the iOS keyboard as “broken.” The video demonstrated expected behavior when using QuickPath without Auto-Correction enabled.
