CM Games Releases Into the Radius 2 on Steam Early Access

CM Games, the developer behind the single-player survival shooter Into the Radius (2020), has launched its highly anticipated sequel, Into the Radius 2, on Steam Early Access today. Players are once again immersed in the dangerous Pechorsk Security Zone, facing deadly anomalies and surreal landscapes.

Into the Radius 2 offers both single-player and two-player co-op modes (with four-player co-op planned for the future). Armed with realistic weapons, players can explore the mysteries of the Pechorsk Security Zone, encountering challenging enemies and uncovering hidden secrets.

The sequel retains beloved features from the original game, such as meticulously crafted weapons, a sophisticated loot-management system, and the freedom to explore dangerous locations filled with anomalies and enemies.

Although Into the Radius 2 is in early access, the developers caution that it may not have as much content as the original game initially. They emphasize the importance of player feedback in shaping the game’s development, as proven with the updates to Into the Radius.

The early access version of Into the Radius 2 includes a tutorial location, a base, and the first large gameplay area. However, the full narrative content will be added at a later date.

The game’s first main ‘Radius’ location is described as significantly larger and more complex than its predecessor, offering 5-10 hours of gameplay in its current state. The Explorer Base has also been revamped to enhance the gameplay experience and reveal future storyline changes.

Players should not expect certain features immediately, such as story moments, weapon customization, hunger mechanics, and new enemy types. The developers plan to expand these elements in future updates.
