Instagram has recently unveiled several exciting new features for its direct messaging platform, enhancing communication for users. One standout update is the ability to share music directly in chats, using the same integration as adding music to Stories. By selecting the Music option from the sticker icon, users can search for a track and share it with friends, complete with an elegant illustration and a 30-second audio player.
Another notable improvement is the automatic message translation feature, allowing users to easily translate foreign-language messages by pressing and holding them. This is especially useful for multilingual conversations.
Users can now also pin important messages at the top of their chats for quick access, whether they are text, images, or links. This feature helps keep essential information within reach during ongoing conversations.
In terms of message organization, Instagram has introduced message scheduling, allowing users to compose messages and schedule them to be sent at a specific date and time. This feature is perfect for setting reminders, sending birthday wishes, or having time-sensitive conversations. To schedule a message, users simply type it, press and hold the send button, select a date and time, and confirm.
Another new feature is the ability to invite friends to group chats using QR codes. These customizable codes can be saved, shared, or printed for easy access in physical locations. Group admins can also refresh the QR code from the chat settings at any time.
Instagram has also implemented new restrictions for minors and is currently testing a dislike button for comments, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to enhancing user safety and engagement.
