Indie Japanese roguelite game Summer Road gets new publisher Phoenixx

Indie Japanese developer REBUILD GAMES has partnered with Phoenixx to publish Summer Road later this year.

This unique roguelite RPG blends multiple genres and is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in 2025.

Summer Road will be showcased at BitSummit 2025 from July 18th to the 20th at both the Phoenixx and Gyaar Studio booths.

This RPG features auto AI focused on hack-and-slash equipment replacement. From melee to long-range weapons and recovery, players manage their equipped items to enhance gameplay. Join Mogumo, a mysterious creature, and three girls on their adventures.

  • Three player characters automatically move and fight using AI.

  • Combat rewards players with randomly obtained equipment to boost their characters.

  • The game’s objective is to head eastwards towards a “mysterious light in the far east.”
