Google Messages Embraces iMessage Reactions with Emoji Update
Google Messages has finally caught up with Apple’s iMessage by introducing a new feature that has been long-awaited by users. The Android community is thrilled with the latest update that allows Google Messages to interact seamlessly with iPhones. The recent improvements brought by the 20220121_02_RC00 update have made the experience even more enjoyable.
One of the significant changes in the new build is the translation of iMessage reactions into emojis. This update has been well-received by users, as it provides a uniform experience across platforms. If you are using the beta version of Google Messages and don’t see the reactions, you can easily enable them by navigating to Settings>Advanced>Show iPhone reactions as emojis.
Over the past few months, Google has been rolling out several updates and enhancements to the Messages app. From adopting Gmail’s “nudges” feature to introducing end-to-end encryption for more users, Google is dedicated to improving the messaging experience for its users. Recently, Google Messages announced that it would no longer support “uncertified” Android smartphones, signaling a shift towards a more secure and streamlined messaging platform.
