Caution: This article may contain minor spoilers for Chairbound. I believe they are minor, but in this eerie place of fluorescent lights and rippled glass structures, it’s hard to discern what truly matters. One thing is certain: I have only 10 minutes to escape, or face an unknown fate.
Encountered the peculiar girl once more on the eighth floor. Initially resembling a goblin from afar, up close she appears like any other 10-year-old, clad in a nightie with shoulder-length hair. However, her garbled sounds and sudden disappearance into the shadows hint at a deeper mystery. She seems to be searching for her “toy”, which I doubt is the rubber duck clutched in my hand.
Further exploration of the eighth floor reveals more rubber ducks scattered around. This information proves useful as it saves me the trouble of retrieving the one from the office above, sparing valuable time. The purpose of these rubber ducks remains unclear, yet the act of squeezing one provides a small comfort as I navigate through the deserted office space.
One crucial discovery: the device strapped to my chest is not a bomb. As the timer reaches zero, the display activates and releases a gas, initially harmless. The relief I felt upon this realization was immense, dispelling the initial fear of a deadly explosion. However, the challenge of descending nine floors while bound to an office chair remains daunting.
I am determined to find a way to disable the device or prolong the timer. Dropping the rubber duck on a previous attempt before succumbing to the gas prompts a theory that it may offer protection. A persistent thought echoes within me: the duck holds the key.
Recent findings include accessing a computer room on the eighth floor, situated beneath a red light. Inside, I encountered multiple displays and a chair amidst what appears to be a pool of blood. This discovery raises concerns about potential threats while confined to the chair. I hope to gather more insights on the seventh floor, provided I survive this ordeal.
