I had the opportunity to review the impressive Ugreen NASync DXP4800 Plus last November. Having been using the Ugreen NASync DH4300 Plus with the stock UGOS software, I decided to migrate my old TerraMaster F4-421 running Unraid to the Ugreen.

Instead of using Docker to set up UGOS with the applications I needed, I opted to use Unraid. Since all my files were already on an existing Unraid array, I simply needed to swap the disks over. Installing Unraid on the Ugreen NASync DXP4800 Plus is a relatively simple process, albeit slightly more involved than converting TerraMaster to Unraid. It involves setting up Unraid on a USB drive and making some BIOS changes to ensure smooth operation.
Overall, converting the Intel-based Ugreen NASs to Unraid is straightforward, and these systems offer excellent hardware at a reasonable price in a sleek form factor. If you’re looking for a powerful NAS solution with great features, the Ugreen NASync DXP4800 Plus is definitely worth considering.
