How to get warm on Hebra Mountain in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

In the frosty heights of Hebra Mountain in the northern region of Hyrule in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the cold can be dangerously intense.

So severe is the cold that within moments Princess Zelda’s hearts will begin to deplete rapidly!

Fortunately, there is a potion you can concoct that will shield her from the bitter cold – but its effects are temporary. While you may already have an idea of one of the ingredients needed, the crucial mixer is a less commonly used item that can lead to unexpected and “unfortunate” outcomes if not used correctly.

Here’s what you need to do!

Defeating the cold on Hebra Mountain with a warming potion

To stay warm on the summit of Hebra Mountain in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you must brew a Piping-Hot Potion at a Smoothie Shop using a Warm Pepper and some Monster Guts.

The Piping-Hot Potion grants Zelda the “Ice-Proof” status, safeguarding her from the freezing temperatures at the mountain’s peak.

You may have avoided using Monster Guts and Monster Fangs in your mixtures until now, as combining them with most food items produces an almost inedible “Unfortunate Smoothie” that only provides a small boost to your health and energy.

Furthermore, do not mistake the Piping-Hot Potion for the similar Ice Resistant Potion obtained by mixing a Monster Fang and Warm Pepper. The latter is a combat-oriented potion that shields against ice-based foes, rather than the environmental effect we are addressing here.

Now that you can freely explore Hebra Mountain, why not seek out the remaining Heart Pieces in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. There are also a couple of Stamp Rally locations worth visiting – all of which can be easily overlooked if you rush through due to the cold!
