While most users utilize this feature in the Photos app, it can also be accessed through Safari, Quick Look, Files, and other compatible apps.
It’s important to note that this feature is available on iPhone XR, iPhone XS, or later models running iOS 16 or newer. Therefore, the majority of iPhone users can leverage this functionality effortlessly.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to using this feature:
- Open the Photos app.
- Select the desired picture.
- Press and hold the subject you want to extract until a white outline appears.
At this point, you have multiple options. You can continue holding the subject while switching to another app with your free hand. For example, you can open a Pages document and release the subject into the file.
Alternatively, releasing the subject presents three options at the top. You can choose to Copy the subject for pasting into other apps like messages or emails.
