Meet the Pioneers of Mobility

Sachin Kansal, Chief Product Officer at Uber Technologies, is spearheading the company’s global Mobility and Delivery products, focusing on safety, sustainability, and autonomous vehicle initiatives. He is instrumental in shaping how AI and automation will drive Uber’s future, from efficient ride-matching to advanced logistics networks. Kansal’s expertise extends to product and technology strategy for Uber’s initiatives in autonomous vehicles, sustainability, taxis, and Uber for Teens.

Before joining Uber in 2017, Kansal held key positions at Lookout and Flywheel Software. His earlier roles include leading product management at Palm for the webOS mobile platform. Kansal holds engineering degrees from Gujarat University and Stanford University and has several patents in mobile and location technologies.

Dave Ferguson, Co-founder and President of Nuro, is leading the self-driving technology company in pioneering scalable autonomy for robotaxis, commercial fleets, and personal vehicles. With a background in Google’s early self-driving program (now Waymo) and Carnegie Mellon’s DARPA Urban Challenge-winning team, Ferguson brings a unique perspective on translating robotics research into transformative transportation solutions.

As a prominent figure in the robotics and AI domain, Ferguson has authored over 60 papers, holds more than 100 patents, and holds an MS and PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.
