The flagship Honor Magic 7 Pro has officially launched in the UK and Europe today, featuring the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and top-tier water-resistance for added protection. One of its standout features is the high-resolution 200-megapixel telephoto camera.
Coming hot on the heels of the OnePlus 13 and just before the anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 release, the Magic 7 Pro stands out as one of the first smartphones outside of China to be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest chipset. Boasting 12GB of RAM, it is considered one of the most potent devices on the market. Additionally, it houses a substantial 5,270mAh battery built with silicon-carbon chemistry, allowing for more energy density in a slim 8.8mm frame.
Similar to the new OnePlus model and surprisingly, Motorola’s recent Moto G Power, the Magic 7 Pro is both IP68 and IP69-rated, ensuring protection against dust, water submersion, steam, and high-pressure water jets. This makes it ideal for users who frequently use their phones in challenging environments.
A notable feature of the phone is its 200-megapixel 3x periscopic camera, a rarity in zoom lenses. Enhanced with AI Super Zoom functionality for improved clarity at 30x zoom, the camera also utilizes on-device and cloud-based AI models for image refinement.
Running on Android 15 and integrated with Google’s Gemini AI app, the Magic 7 Pro incorporates various AI-powered features including translation and notes apps developed by Honor.
Initially launched in China last November, the Magic 7 Pro marks its international debut with its arrival in Europe. Honor’s success in expanding its global market share in 2024 can be attributed to the popularity of the previous Magic 6 series and the ultra-thin Magic V3 foldable phone.
Accompanying the Pro model is the Magic 7 Lite, a midrange device powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip and running on Android 14. Highlighted by its massive 6,600mAh battery promising up to three days of usage, the Magic 7 Lite targets users seeking extended battery life.
The Magic 7 Pro is now available for purchase on honor.com starting at £1,099.99 / €1,299, with major retailers and carriers also offering the device. The more budget-friendly Magic 7 Lite is priced at £399.99 / €369 and is currently on sale as well.
