hololive Stars Shine at Los Angeles Dodgers Game

hololive, a popular virtual idol group, made waves among their non-Japanese fans when some of their top performers made a special appearance at a recent Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game.

Gawr Gura from hololive English, along with Pekora Usada and Suisei Hoshimachi from hololive Japan, were featured as special guests in a unique collaboration between the Dodgers and hololive. The event coincided with the 2024 Los Angeles Anime Expo, adding to the excitement.

During the seventh inning stretch, the stadium screens lit up with the image of Gawr Gura singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” much to the delight of the crowd who joined in singing along to the classic baseball tune.

Usada Pekora and Hoshimachi Suisei also made appearances on the stadium’s big screen during the Dodgers-Brewers game, as captured in a fan-recorded video.

Despite a strong effort from the Brewers, it seemed that the presence of Gura, Suisei, Pekora, and the Dodgers team helped rally the home team to a thrilling 8-5 victory over Milwaukee.

To top off the successful collaboration, a spectacular drone show entertained the crowd after the game, as witnessed by another fan.

The collaboration also featured exclusive hololive merchandise stands at the stadium, offering fans the chance to purchase special hololive trading cards and shirts commemorating the event.

Reports indicated a large crowd lining up for the merchandise, with stadium staff noting that the demand for hololive items set a new record for the longest merchandise line at the Dodgers stadium.
