Hitman: World of Assassination Coming to PSVR 2

Exciting news for Hitman fans as IO Interactive has confirmed that Hitman: World of Assassination is set to launch on PSVR 2 on 27th March. This enhanced VR version of the popular assassination trilogy will bring a whole new level of immersion to players on Sony’s latest headset. Check out a preview of the VR gameplay in the latest trailer:

The PSVR 2 version of Hitman World of Assassination will include all 22 locations from the trilogy, along with new VR-specific mechanics tailored to the headset and its Sense controllers. Players can look forward to features like dual-wielding, full ambidexterity, room-scale play, improved controls, and new gameplay mechanics not seen in the original PSVR release. From active reloading to on-body weapon holstering, sniper scope aiming, and manual disguise actions, the VR experience promises to be truly immersive. Plus, you can even take out guards by throwing two items simultaneously.

Pricing details for the release have also been revealed. Existing owners of Hitman: World of Assassination on PS5 can upgrade to the VR version for $9.99 / €9.99 / £8.99. Alternatively, new players can opt for Hitman WOA Part One – VR2 Edition, which includes the Hitman 1 campaign and locations with PSVR 2 support for $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Additional upgrades to access Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 content may also be available, although the options on the PS Store can be a bit confusing at times. Despite efforts to streamline the experience with the World of Assassination rebrand, new sub-bundles and versions have added to the complexity.
