Exciting News: Google Pixel 9 Series Set to Launch Soon
Something to look forward to: Google is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Pixel 9 series smartphones on August 13. With numerous leaks circulating in the past few weeks, we already have a good idea of the hardware components and software features that these devices will offer. A recent leak has now seemingly confirmed some design elements and key specifications of all four smartphones in the upcoming lineup, as well as their AI capabilities.
The leak, brought to light by @OnLeaks in collaboration with Indian tech blog 91Mobiles, unveils what appears to be official marketing material for the Pixel 9 lineup. The images showcase the phones in four striking colors: black, light-grey, porcelain, and pink. They also validate previous leaks suggesting that the devices will feature sharply-rounded corners and a matte finish on the back complemented by polished metal side panels.
The leak also aligns with earlier hardware speculations. According to the leak, all four devices will be powered by the Tensor G4 SoC. The standard Pixel 9 is expected to offer up to 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are rumored to come with up to 16GB of memory.
The Pixel 9 is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch Actua display, whereas the Pro and Pro XL models are said to boast 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch Super Actua Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED displays, respectively. The Fold variant is expected to sport a 6.3-inch Actua display on the exterior and an 8-inch Super Actua Flex display on the interior. While battery specifications remain unconfirmed, Google has promised a 24-hour battery life for the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
On the imaging front, all three mainstream Pixel devices are anticipated to come equipped with a 50MP main sensor and a 48MP ultrawide camera, with the Pro models receiving an additional 48MP telephoto lens. The Fold model is rumored to feature a 48MP wide main camera, a 10.5MP ultrawide shooter, and a 10.8MP telephoto snapper. Selfie camera specs include a 10.5MP lens for the standard Pixel, 42MP lenses for the Pro variants, and a 10MP camera for the Fold.
Google recently teased several AI features of the Pixel 9 Pro in an official YouTube video, and the latest leak sheds more light on these capabilities. All Pixel 9 devices are expected to come with a complimentary Gemini One AI Premium Plan subscription for one year. Additionally, the phones may include an Emergency SoS feature that can send crisis alerts for various emergencies such as fires and floods. Google has also promised seven years of security updates and Pixel Drops for all devices in the Pixel 9 series.
