Google fixes the vibrating Android 16 bug that was frustrating users

Last month, Android 16 made its debut, bringing new features such as live updates from popular apps, audio sharing for Bluetooth music listening with friends, and support for adjusting screen refresh rates. While users have been enjoying these additions, there have been some issues, such as problems with haptic feedback. In response, Google is now rolling out Android 16 Beta 3.2 to address these issues.

The most significant change in this new release is the fix for the haptic feedback system. Android 16 introduced more options for developers to customize how your phone vibrates in response to various actions and notifications. While the light vibrations enhance navigation and awareness, some users, especially those with Google Pixel phones, experienced overly intense vibrations, particularly during typing. This was not an intentional change and only affected specific phone models.

With the latest beta version, Google is addressing the issue of miscalibrated haptic feedback, providing relief to Pixel users who found the vibrations too strong.

Other updates in Android 16 Beta 3.2 include fixes for battery drain and screen flickering while using the camera. If you are part of the Android Beta Program, you can download the new version now. Otherwise, these fixes should be available to all users soon.
