Google has unveiled powerful improvements to its Gemini iPhone app, enhancing its chatbot capabilities for iPhone users. Last year, Google introduced the conversational Gemini Live chatbot, which has since been integrated into various platforms, including iOS.

During its I/O 2025 conference, Google announced new features for its AI assistant, aiming to anticipate users’ needs. The iOS app now supports camera and screen sharing, allowing real-time visual assistance for tasks and real-world objects. Gemini Live’s advanced AI models enable real-time analysis of live video streams, offering a more interactive experience.

Google showcased scenarios where Gemini Live assists students with homework and provides accessibility features for individuals with low vision. The chatbot’s conversational capabilities surpass Siri, but Google is still working on enhancing personal context features.

Google plans to integrate Gemini Live further into its app ecosystem, enabling seamless interactions with Google Calendar, Maps, Tasks, and Keep. Camera and screen sharing are now available for all Gemini for iOS users, with additional features like Imagen 4 and Veo 3 improving image and video generation.

Google is expanding Gemini Live’s capabilities to enhance users’ daily routines, integrating with Google’s ecosystem for a seamless experience.

Last week, Google Workspace users gained access to Gemini Live, with ongoing developments to enhance image and video generation quality. The continuous evolution of Gemini Live showcases Google’s commitment to improving user experiences through AI technologies.
