Following the recent announcement at I/O 2025, Google is expanding the availability of Gemini Live camera and screen sharing features to its iPhone and iPad app.

Upon accessing the feature, users will receive a prompt to “Share your camera or screen with Gemini Live” to facilitate communication and collaboration.

When launching Gemini Live, users will notice new buttons in the interface, with updated controls for camera and screen sharing functionalities.

The camera button allows users to switch between front and back lenses, enabling them to capture real-world context to enhance communication within Gemini Live.

Additionally, the screen sharing button prompts users to confirm “Start Broadcast” before sharing their screen, providing a seamless experience for asking questions and seeking assistance.

Powered by Google DeepMind’s Project Astra, Gemini Live camera and screen sharing features were initially introduced last week and are now being more widely rolled out in the US for both free and paid accounts.

To access these features, users should ensure they have the latest version of the app installed and may need to close and reopen the Gemini app to force the server-side rollout.
