While the announcement of Gears of War: Reloaded coming to PS5 is undoubtedly a major surprise, the news is also a significant win for Xbox and PC gamers. This remaster brings the original game back into the spotlight, offering a fresh experience with a host of performance improvements and visual enhancements.
Upon its release, Gears of War: Reloaded will include all previously released DLC, including bonus campaigns, multiplayer maps, characters, and cosmetics. Players who purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before May 5th will receive a free upgrade to Gears of War: Reloaded. For others, the game will be available for $39.99, with the added option of accessing it through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
In addition to Gears of War: Reloaded, another project titled Gears of War: E-Day is currently in development as a prequel to the original game, with People Can Fly co-developing. Rumors of a Gears of War Collection remaster for an August release can now be put to rest.
