Gaming Buddy Update: Lock Screen Widgets and New Releases List
Gaming Buddy arrived this spring alongside indie developer Filip Němeček’s Switch Buddy to track video game releases and more. The iPhone app has now received an update that introduces Lock Screen widgets and a new “New Releases” list.
Gaming Buddy, previously known as Gaming Widgets, initially launched with a range of Home Screen widgets for easy tracking of upcoming game releases and a rich discovery tool.
The latest update, Gaming Buddy 1.3.0, includes the popular Release Countdown widget and Up Next widget for the Lock Screen. Additionally, it introduces a “New Releases” list to help users stay up to date with recent launches across all platforms.
Gaming Buddy is available as a free download from the App Store, offering access to all widgets at no cost. Users can unlock the ability to favorite more than three games with a $3.99/year subscription, which also supports indie developer Filip’s work.
