11 Bit Studios has announced a new DLC for Frostpunk 2 called Fractured Utopias, set to be released on December 8th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series XS. In this expansion, players will explore eight new faction utopias, each with their own vision of a perfect society, leading to conflicts and clashes between them. With 12 unique unlocks per faction, including laws, HUBs, and abilities, as well as eight housing district variants, players will have plenty of new content to delve into. Fractured Utopias also introduces 100 new narrative events to navigate, a new map, and two premium tales – Doomsayers and Plague.
In a review of Frostpunk 2 for consoles, Dom praised the game, stating, “Frostpunk 2 remains one of the most compelling city builders and survival games in recent memory, and it’s survived the transition to console in remarkably strong form. That said, if you have the option of playing on PC, that remains the best place to play.”
