Exciting news for football fans as SEGA and Sports Interactive have officially announced that Football Manager 25 is set to be released on November 26th. This release marks the beginning of a new era for the popular series, as the game will now be running on Unity and features a revamped user interface with some notable changes from previous installments.
Miles Jacobson, from Sports Interactive, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming release, stating, “It’s a great honor to confirm the release of Football Manager 25. The FM25 development cycle has been a challenge for the entire team, but it sets the stage for the next chapter of our studio’s future. We are proud to unveil two long-term projects, the transition to Unity engine and the introduction of Women’s Football. We are excited to share our hard work and look forward to revealing more about the game leading up to its release.”
Football Manager 25 introduces several new features, including the Premier League license and the ability to manage women’s teams for the first time. The matchday information screen has been redesigned to focus on the pitch, with tactical lineups displayed on either side. Additionally, the new Portal system replaces the Inbox, providing a central hub for tasks, news, calendar, and messages. Player form screens now showcase individual performance and contributions in the last five matches.
While there are many enhancements in Football Manager 25, some familiar elements have been removed, such as international management, touchline shouts, create a club, challenge mode, and versus mode. Fantasy Draft will be available post-launch, and the game will also be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 26th, with a Game Pass inclusion. Mobile and Touch editions will follow shortly after, offering unique gameplay experiences for different platforms.
