Eufy has unveiled the eufyCam S4, the industry’s first solar-powered hybrid camera. This innovative device features a 4K fixed bullet lens combined with dual 2K pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) lenses, offering 360-degree coverage and solar-powered security with detailed facial recognition capabilities up to 15 meters away.
Following the release of the eufy PoE NVR Security System S4 Max in 2025, which boasted a tri-cam design for comprehensive surveillance, the eufyCam S4 aims to provide the same multi-angle protection in a compact, all-in-one device. This new camera system replaces the need for separate bullet and PTZ cameras, offering a more versatile security solution.
The eufyCam S4’s standout feature is its triple-lens configuration, combining a 4K bullet camera with a 2K dual-lens PTZ camera for both wide-area monitoring and precise subject tracking. The bullet camera provides a 130-degree fixed field of view for broad coverage of key areas, while the PTZ camera offers 360-degree tracking for active monitoring of larger or dynamic spaces.
Equipped with five LED spotlights for color night vision, the eufyCam S4 ensures clear imaging in low-light conditions. Advanced AI systems enable the cameras to track activity seamlessly, with features like AI Tracking 2.0 and Intelligent Auto-Framing ensuring accurate and detailed surveillance up to 50 meters away.
Designed for continuous operation, the eufyCam S4 features a built-in solar charging system with a detachable 5.5W solar panel for efficient charging. The panel’s durable ETFE construction enhances its longevity in outdoor environments, while a quick-swap rechargeable battery ensures uninterrupted power even in extreme conditions.
The camera’s dual motion detection system, combining radar and PIR technology, accurately identifies human, vehicle, and pet movement. In case of intruders, the eufyCam S4 activates visual and auditory deterrents, including warning lights and a 105dB siren, to keep the property secure.
For recording and storage, the eufyCam S4 offers built-in local storage and a microSD card slot for up to 256GB capacity. When paired with the HomeBase S380, the camera integrates into a smart home security system powered by BionicMind AI, offering advanced features like Cross-cam Tracking and 24/7 Snapshots.
Available now, the eufyCam S4 is priced at £249 for a solo camera, £549 for a 2-cam kit with HomeBase S380, and £949 for a 4-cam kit with HomeBase S380.
