Escape from Tarkov is offering players in-game currency as a bounty for reporting cheaters

Escape from Tarkov is taking a proactive approach to combating cheaters by implementing a bounty system that rewards players with in-game currency for reporting offenders.

The game developers have been actively banning cheaters, but the issue persists with thousands of bans issued. The introduction of the bounty system aims to further discourage cheating in Escape from Tarkov.

Referred to as “compensation for reporting players who violated game rules” in the patch notes, the bounty system rewards players for reporting cheaters. The amount of in-game currency received for reporting a cheater is not specified, but players who consistently report offenders will receive additional rewards.

The bounty system is now live with the latest patch 0.14.9.5, which also includes features like item wishlists, AI tweaks, and the ability to play PvE Zone mode offline. The game faced backlash earlier for exclusive content in a premium edition, but the studio later made amends by allowing access to all players.
