Exciting news for fans of The Sims series – The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 have made a comeback in official PC stores. EA has put together Legacy collections for both games, featuring a variety of DLC packs. This marks the first time the original Sims game is available on a digital retail platform, dating back to its initial release in 2000. Check out the reveal trailer below.

The Sims Legacy Collection includes a range of DLC packs such as The Sims Livin’ Large, The Sims House Party, The Sims Hot Date, The Sims Vacation, The Sims Unleashed, The Sims Superstar, and The Sims Makin’ Magic. Additionally, players will receive a bonus Throwback Fit Kit for The Sims 4.

For The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, players can enjoy an extensive list of DLC packs including The Sims 2: University, The Sims 2: Nightlife, The Sims 2: Open for Business, The Sims 2: Pets, and many more. There is also a Grunge Revival Kit included for The Sims 4.

Both collections are available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, or you can opt for the EA 25th birthday bundle. The pricing is up to your discretion as a discerning Simmer.

Why is there so much Sims 2 DLC? It’s like a plethora of licensed add-ons. I confess my ignorance on the topic, with my only knowledge of The Sims 2 being related to a controversial review by Steve Hogarty. You can find the articles on Steam and the Epic Games Store or choose the EA 25th birthday bundle. The decision on their pricing is in your hands as the discerning Simmer.
