Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 Update Brings Exciting Changes to Endgame
Dune: Awakening has been facing challenges with its endgame content since its launch, but the upcoming Chapter 3 update promises to address player feedback and revamp the endgame experience. The highly anticipated update is set to release on February 3rd, offering players a new and improved way to engage with the game’s endgame content.
Feedback from players highlighted the need for more options, rewarding gameplay, character progression, and overall content to keep players engaged. Funcom, in a recent blog post on Steam, revealed that these concerns have been taken into consideration and will be addressed in the upcoming update.
Upon reaching Plastanium (Tier 6), players can expect “deeper choices, shared goals, and more ways to continue growing.” The introduction of the Specialization and Augmentation systems will provide players with enhanced progression opportunities. Additionally, the update will introduce 10 new locations on the Overland Map, featuring unique testing stations with challenging boss encounters and valuable loot.
In a surprising turn of events, players will no longer have to pay taxes for their bases, a change welcomed by the community. Players who haven’t logged in for over 28 days will receive a return package with useful tools to aid in their gameplay. Whether these changes will entice players to return or keep existing players satisfied remains to be seen, but the response in the community is eagerly awaited.
