Bandai Namco has just unveiled a brand new trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ in anticipation of its appearance at EVO France 2025 this weekend. The big surprise in the trailer? Goku from Dragon Ball Daima will be joining the game’s roster, set to make his debut in Spring 2026. Alongside this exciting announcement, a balance update is also on the horizon. Take a look at the reveal trailer below.
The upcoming balance update for Dragon Ball FighterZ is scheduled to launch on October 12th, with a focus on addressing Z-Reflect as a key aspect of the game. Furthermore, all characters in the roster are receiving updates to rebalance their moves, although the full patch notes will only be available once the update is live.
Dragon Ball FighterZ, released in 2018, was a smash hit for veteran fighting game developers Arc System Works, receiving multiple updates and new character additions. In our glowing review, Dave praised the game, stating, “2018 is off to a strong start with Dragon Ball FighterZ an early contender for this year’s best fighting game. By shattering some boundaries, Dragon Ball FighterZ has combat that’s more than worth getting into, but also a diverse roster and some phenomenal presentation. The Story Mode could have been improved if it were more streamlined, but it’s a mere blemish on an otherwise spectacular game.”
